What Is a Wellness Coach? And How It Shapes The Mindful Mixer Experience
Over the past few months, a question has come up again and again.
People keep asking, “So what exactly is a wellness coach?”
I love when someone asks me this, because it gives me a chance to share the heart behind The Mindful Mixer and the work I have poured my whole self into this past year.
In September I officially became a certified Wellness Coach. Earlier in February, I earned my Nutrition Coach Certification. Before all of that, I spent three years working as a Certified Personal Trainer. All of these certifications came through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, which is something I am really proud of. They shaped the way I teach, the way I support people and the way I show up in every workshop.
When people hear “mocktail workshop,” they usually imagine a fun drink class. And yes, the drinks are fun and creative, but the real purpose behind each event goes much deeper. Everything I teach is built on the four pillars of wellness that I coach on every day: nutrition, movement, mindset and lifestyle habits.
Nutrition shows up the moment we talk about ingredients. I love helping guests understand how strawberries, herbs, coconut water or lemon actually support the body. Movement shows up in simple ways, like breathing techniques, posture resets or little tips to help people feel strong and supported throughout the day. The mindset piece shows up in the guided sipping ritual, where we pause, taste, reflect and slow down long enough to actually notice what is happening in our bodies. And lifestyle habits weave naturally into the conversation, because wellness is never just about one thing. It is about how we sleep, how we hydrate, how we manage stress and what we choose to put into our body and mind each day.
When you blend all of that together, you end up with a workshop that feels calming, creative and grounding. It is something people do not expect when they walk in, but it is something they feel deeply when they leave. The mocktail is simply the vehicle. The wellness is the transformation.
This is also why The Mindful Mixer has become such a natural fit for workplace wellness. Teams today are tired. They are stretched thin. They want to connect, but they also want to feel supported and learn something meaningful that goes beyond one afternoon. These workshops give them a chance to breathe, reset and enjoy something healthy together, while also leaving with simple wellness tools they can bring right back into their daily routine.
If your organization is planning for 2026 and you want something unique, uplifting and actually good for your team, I would love to be part of your wellness programming. Teacher wellness days, staff appreciation events, corporate wellness sessions and retreats are now open for booking.
